The Apostle Paul in research papers has been referred to as one of the greatest influences on the Christian church after the death of Jesus Christ. Research papers on the Apostle Paul state he is one of the best known of the twelve apostles, and the author of about half of the New Testament books.

Until Paul was five years old, he was educated by his mother. After this time, he received instruction from his father until the age of ten. After the age of ten, he was sent to Jerusalem where he attended the rabbinical school of Gamaliel. He was also well educated in the Greek language and culture. Paul excelled in his studies and demonstrated a love of the scriptures and of worship.

Paul returned to Tarsus when he was in his mid-twenties and entered his father's business of tent making. During this time he earned the respect of others in the community. Although he believed in the written scriptures, he did not believe that Jesus was the Son of God. As did other Jews in his day, Paul believed that Jesus was an enemy of the true church and should be put to death. Determined to stop the actions of Jesus, he returned to Jerusalem and offered his services against anyone who dared to oppose the synagogue.
