Health Management Article Review

A health management article review is typically done in a standard format. Most professors look for the following items regarding health management, therefore, this is how to write a good article review:

This first part of the article review should be one paragraph that includes the author(s) full name, article title, journal name, and date published. Next should come a summary of the article. The summary of the article must include: 1. Article focus 2. Health assessment procedure and rationales discussed 3. Health assessment tools and/or strategies discussed 4. Population discussed (i.e.: women, children, older adults, etc.)

Next should come an evaluation of the article or a critique the article. Include a full one to two page critique that answers all of the following questions: 1. What was done well and what could have been improved in the article? 2. Why did this article interest you? Or did it fail to interest you? 3. Was the health assessment strategy beneficial? Could you adopt it in your practice? 4. Was the health assessment strategy explained clearly? 5. Should more research/articles be written about this area of health assessment? 6. What population or individuals does this article apply to (i.e.: who will benefit the most from this article)?

Every good health management article review should end with a solid conclusion. An effective conclusion identifies the main ideas and major support points from the body of your report. Minor details are left out. Summarize the benefits proper assessment and how they affect the patient. Use of standard English grammar and sentence structure.
