Cscope Education

Created by the Texas Education Service Center Curriculum Collaborative (TESCCC) and used extensively for the past six years, CSCOPE is a thorough curriculum set to be utilized for all students, primary and secondary. By maintaining adherence to the state standards for education in Texas, this curriculum covers essential subjects and skills; the content of the curriculum is routinely reviewed to ensure it always falls in line with existing standards. There are three key components to CSCOPE: professional development, curriculum and assessment, and innovative technology. By offering educators the strategies to perpetually improve themselves, by providing quality educational and assessment tools, and by integrating technology in new and unique ways, CSCOPE serves to revolutionize the delivery of information to students and promote a high-quality, rigorous academic environment where all can succeed.
Strengths of CSOPE Education
One of the strengths of CSCOPE is that all students throughout the state of Texas are held to the same educational standards. While individual school districts can adopt their own localized textbooks, the online management of the curriculum is centralized for all students in the state. Specific lesson plans are provided in the online format for instructors, but many choose not to adopt these and instead offer unique instruction for their students. CSCOPE also includes specialized elements for students of specific educational levels. Standards for English proficiency are maintained throughout the curriculum; as students reach higher grades, career and college readiness skills are also incorporated into lessons.
